Counseling Home

The mission of the Darien High School Counseling Department is to nurture the mind, body, and spirit of each member of the school community and to encourage the development of all students as reflective thinkers who strive for excellence in their lives. In a rigorous intellectual environment, students will develop the skills, values, and integrity that will prepare them to become citizens with a commitment to lifelong learning and to lives of vision and consequence in the 21st Century.

The Counseling Department strives to provide optimal educational planning through individually guided course selection, personal assistance with the post-secondary process, student training in study skills, awareness of summer enrichment programs, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities, while providing parents and faculty with information to help in our joint endeavors of assisting the development of each student.
